P-chunk surprised me with a little birthday visit from the one and only KK. Well he tried to surprise me but I found out- but no matter. We had a blast on the plaza and this amazing photo shoot happened. Sister-sister!

Zoo Funs

In the two years since moving back to KC, we have not visited the zoo. It's been on my to-do list for awhile, so we made a point to go this summer. Since Laura, Elle and Emily are zoo-sperts (i'm trying to channel the word expert here in case it went haywire) anyway- we joined them on a zoo day adventure. Fun times!

The zoo brought out the animal searching to even the tinest of insects- rolly polly finding! We had a blast zooin' it with the Sullivan girls!

Father's Day and My birthday

 We celebrated Father's Day...hmm..is this patricks 4th one? or 5th??? ah- just did the math (with my fingers) and discovered this was indeed the 5th Father's Day for P-chunk. And it was my 32nd birthday. both low-key- hung out with the fams and friendzys. See how they panned out in pictures.

Summer Lovin

I know- Its been awhile. So basically it is summer- we are seizing the moments and I took on a freelance job in early June that just wrapped up so I was like slammed for awhile. AH! Going to get caught up....let's start with my trip to see Molly and new baby Patrick! Yay!

Dancing Naked in the Kitchen

Well- sort of. But i got your attention, huh??? I wish i really was at the moment! Ah! Haha-

So for reals- how come busting a move with the kids, well bridge since nora was exhausted and fell asleep at 5:45- is simply wonderful? Dancing is nostalgic, freeing and amazing.

Sing a song. Bust a move. Work it people. Shimmy and shake what God gave ya! (and maybe add some bubbly with raspberries to liven it up a bit)

Vacation Bible School

This week is Noras first week of VBS. Bonus- her BF Nora Miller signed up too! They are in different classes, but hug in the hall when they see each other and sing and dance the songs after school. Its adorable.

Today I volunteered at the school. I was supposed to be in a different group, but to my surprise nora freaked out so liz and i switched groups. And im so glad- because it was so great to see her with her friends, hold her hand down the hall and have her sit on my lap. I mean- how long will she want me to be there?!?

And then this happened. While walking in the hall to another station, Nora looked at me and said verbatim, "mom, i love spending time with you at my school" i mean for real!!!! Melt my heart! She was overheard by her classroom leader who gave me an awwwww.

Later she got on stage to rock her dance moves. I love her confidence, her adorableness and her compassion.

She passed out in the afternoon- lots of fun this week equals a tired bean pod!
