Sometimes after a good workout, I maximize in 45. I'm sure this is just the same thing when Claudia suggests a good smoothie or shake, right?

I'm Fascinating, Obviously
An arrogant, self-centered statement I just made about myself? On the cuff, yes. But it's me, people. Of course there is sarcasm laced within. This statement is of truth based on the latest e-cards standards.
I believe this quote to be spot on. Humorous, too. Makes a spaz like me feel better about life. I mean, sometimes cleaning and organizing has to be done- I get that. But I just love this quote and maybe will frame it on my entryway door.
Thanks Miss Amanda. This was the best e-card yet.

Picture Time
I took the girls to get their picture done the other day since I randomly start to panic I am not capturing enough. It was a typical morning of breakfast, dishes, multiple pooping episodes, trying to brush kids teeth, yelling about sharing, eating crayons, negotiating hair bows and outfits- tired by 9:30!!! I was like, is this worth it! Jeepers.
But we got there in time in one piece. I stuck to my one pose 18 dollar coupon deal and I think they turned out well. The pic captured their personalities and is one of my favs. Success!
What's real freaky is the Nora/Bridget side by side comparison of them the same age. How did I birth the same (looking) human twice!!!!
And I got one of Bridgey's crinkle nose at the Bed, Bath and Beyond super fun trip that took forever because the curtain I wanted was out of stock and they wanted to charge me for shipping and I was all- oh no you didn't. *sigh* but I finally bought a decent tissue box cover on sale and with a coupon for $10. I was over ugly, naked kleenex boxes. Life suddenly seems more complete.

Notice Nora in the back. Awesome. Sure-stand up in the cart and play with the glass soap dish while I try to capture your sister's stink nose. |

Phew. Covered Kleenex. That was a close one. |

I sliced my bleeping finger
Like real bad. On a top of a tuna fish can. But I didn't even swear when it happened! I get the most improved award.
The funniest thing was Nora's reaction. She came running over and said, "oh honey, oh my goodness, are you okay?" then she got some napkins for my disgusting, bleeding finger.
I called P and he told me to wash it, which further caused muffled (as best as dramatic me can) screams. This time Nora came over and said, "oh sweetie, oh i'm so sorry, you have a boo boo." and some other cutie things I can't remember them all.
The oh honey, oh sweeties were so freaking funny, it seriously helped my throbbing finger!!! Plus it made me feel good that my words to her in a bleeding, boo boo situation are comforting. She has always showed a lot of compassion in situations. I wonder if she will work in a field where this skill comes in handy.
It's my middle right finger, and i thought it may need stitches- but i think it's okay. I did take Tylenol for the pain because it does seriously hurt that bad (im not a big pain killer taker- so seriously. It hurts.)
I am posting this from my phone- so thumbs only were involved. Not fixing the lowercase 'i' situations, or any other grammaticals. deal. Mwah

The Sisters Visit KC
My MIL (Mary) and her two sisters, Katie and Sharon, stopped in KC this weekend on their way to Denver for Joe's wedding (which we are sad we can't be at!) Every year the girls,as they are referred to, have an annual sister's trip. They have been to Ireland together, Amsterdam, Door County, and other places all with hilarious stories attached.
One may think that I was a hyper-active mess trying to get ready for such a visit as her husband's mom and her two sisters. Quite the contrary. Well- okay, I am always a spaz, but you know what I mean. I wasn't all like trying to press napkins or whatever. They are the most low-maintenance, easy-going group of women probably on the planet. Every group of women should model their laid backness after them. I mean, they didn't even know where they were staying for the next 3 nights before the wedding! Just driving on through Western Kansas, maybe going to tear it up at the Eisienhaur museum or something like that. Hilarious. I love it.
They have a joint account that they put money in monthly so when they travel they just use their fund. It started out as a kitty of paper money, but then one of them was like- wait, Mary works at a bank, how about an account? Genius!
And they are super, duper sweet, and they accept my spaziness and I am okay with them making fun of it, or making comparisons of my personality to others in the family. I know I belong.
Nora and Bridget had a blast, and of course so did P and I. They brought presents for N and B and just exude love for our family. It's awesome. Having this alone time with the three of them is precious. We love, love the big family get-togethers with all of the cousins and kids (seriously my most fun times is times with extended family who we all miss very much- you all know who you are!!!!) but being with the three girls is also just super fantastic, because of its rare, especially for us Kansanites. Their relationship is one that I hope my girls have (and seeing three does make me think hmmm on the three thing. Just for like 2 seconds though.) They tell the best stories, and they light up around each other, and play of one another's personalities. It's very cool to watch. They talk endlessly about their grandchildren and kids, and they just looooove family so much. And you can feel the love when they are around.
But they do hate to have their pictures taken. And my MIL would probably dis-own me if I added one of her to this blog. And then the next time she came to visit I WOULD be a lunatic because I would be scared. So there are just a couple so hopefully that will fly :)
We had to Deanna Rose it- since it is the most fun place! |
Nora mining for rocks |
Bridget mining for pebbles on the ground |
Mr. Ed |
Goat feedings |
Quack |
Figuring out where we are...kind of the theme of the weekend! |
Nora "fishing" in the living room with the tent poles from her gift- she seriously did this for about 2 hours pretending to catch fish for all the 'friends' as she called the girls. |
T-Rex Cafe- Bridget was a little hesitant |
Asleep at the restaurant. Of course. |
Bean finally woke up- was a bit of a scene- but then she enjoyed herself. |

Future Olympians?
Seriously, P&G? Every time a commercial came out promoting the P&G partnership at the Olympics, I was all emotional. And Aly Raismon's parents at the Olympics made me laugh so hard the way they knew every part of her bar routine and performed it with her in their seats. (PS- I tried to find the link to this, and it has all been removed. Okay- which company bought the rights to these....???) I would probably be one of those moms who would eat the end of my hair and scream at the judges (since I am kind of like that when watching sports with people I don't even know personally) so I may have to seek therapy if my kid make it to the Olympics.
Getting ahead of myself. Both the girls are in gymnastics and love it. Nora was super into the Olympics this year, which was way cute. A video of her watching the gymnastics:
Notice the scratches on her face? She's a maniac. |
Bridge did not like sharing the tumble track with her sis. |
Or her friend, Payton... |
She loves to hang. |

Bridgey Goes to the Doctor
For Bridget's 15 month appointment- we had lots of extra fun. First it started out normalish- baby down to diaper and all.
But of course she wanted to stand and run around because, well, that's what Bridge does.
After waiting, Nora got impatient so I gave her my phone and then I noticed when we left that Bean once again got into my camera- always gems!
Well anyway- since Nora is prone to UTI's and she said to me earlier her bottom hurts, I decided to have them test her urine. After getting a lecture on when walk-in hours are (um sorry- I am here now, can't my kid just pee in a cup?) the doctors are nice there, but the nurse experience is questionable. Anyway- I guess the nurses got a great chuckle since I bent the rules because Nora refused to pee in a cup. I was at the doctor for an hour and 40 minutes (over lunchtime) on and of pumping Nora with water and holding a cup under her just saying over and over in my head (and out loud) please just pee in the cup, please pee, please pee, please pee. There is nothing like praying for pee. Bribing for pee I will give you a pony if you pee in this cup, Nora.
So after Bridget screamed in the bathroom for about 10 minutes from exhaustion and hunger, we left, cups empty ready to catch the pee at home now. *Sigh*
Finally at home I got the cup filled. I will spare you pictures of pee in a cup. (I didn't actually take any for the record, though the thought passed my mind for a nano second) It made a home in my refrigerator until I dropped it off the next day, so now I am waiting for results. The things we do as moms!
Anyway- Bridget's 15 month stats:
Height: 30 7/8 (55%)
Weight: 22 lbs 14 ounces (50%)
Head: 17 7/8 (30%)
Up in weight (because she eats everything)
Ooooooooooh chillins!

She even got one of the nurse. |
Her toe polish is broken- I must repaint. |
